We are waiting for you, and for your family, in the PAKO guesthouse, in the quiet little town in Fertőd. Fertőd lies in West- Hungary, in the near of the austrian- hungarian frontier, so this is an excellent startpoint to excursions in Austria. There is several intresting, and particular sights in the surrounding towns, and the neighbourhood is also rich in entertainment facilities.

The castle of Eszterháza

There is many possibility in the vicinity to play tennis, to ride, to swim, to angle… (Petőháza, Kapuvár, Sopron, Fertő tó, Bükk).If you have interest in history, and in culture, there is houndreds of museums in the country. In Fertőd can be found the castle of Eszterháza, wich is 500 meters far from the guesthouse.

If you prefer the waterside, you have to visit the Fertő-lake. The Fertő-lake is 20 minutes far from the house (with car), and there is the possibility for swimming, sailing, angling, and any other watersports.

Who would like to make eventful excursions, they can walk around the whole coutry. There is the Fertő Hanság national park in the direct neighbourhood, where special birds, and also special plants can be observed.

The country is rich also in cultural possibilities. There are beautiful performances on the stage of the cave-theatre in Fertőrákos, and also the theatre in Sopron, and in Győr can provide an excellent show.

In short, the country is suitable for all types of holiday.
